Congrats on the 'farewell dance'!!

Check the Yellow Pages for Beauticans, Hairdressers in your area. You should have your Mother check-out her own salon first; good time for both of you to get your hair done together as a 'girls day out'!!

There are plenty of 'chain' salons like Regis, First Choice Haircutters, etc that could likely fill the bill right in your neighborhood. Price might depend on how long your hair is in any case.

Don't consider yourself desperate!!! You have access to a computer so do a search on hairstyles, narrow it down to younger styles. In any case, if you see a 'do' you like print that picture and take to a salon so they have a true idea of what you desire.

There must be salons near you, stop into them and ask to see their books for ideas; they will give you a free consultation if you ask.

Browse through youth magazines in the bookstore, many have photos of identifiable people who might just be wearing something you like. If you can't buy the book but have a digital camera, take a picture include side or back angles if available!! Heck you could even take the camera to the Salon so they can see what you like.

When you get home remember the name of the book or the product being advertised then go to their website.

See, you are not desperate!! There are many choices available to you to research.

Good luck and I hope you have a great Farewell dance!!
