You only need one type of school, and that is Cosmetology School. Since it doesn't go by years, It goes by hours. And the hours are different in just about every state. Look up your state board, and check out that website. it will tell you everything you need to know..





Your probley not going to be able to do weekends, since most cosmetology schools are only opened on saturdays, or not even on weekends, But you may be able to find night classes, If not the school most defiently should have part time, which is going every day but getting out at a certain time.Hi...how much school do i need to be a hair stylist...how long it takes to be a proffesional beautician...?

Here in SC we have to have 1500 hours, which (going full time, 8 hours a day) takes about 10 months.
