Do hair stylists like when you bring pictures of what you would like done?

I would like a certain hair cut but don't want my stylist to think I want to look exactly like the woman in the picture.

I like when they bring pic... what I think is short is different than what you might think is short and when the style is done you can always go back and compare like and tip well if they do what was in the pic.





It saves me and my client time... I don't have to listen to someone that doesn't do hair try to describe what they want or talk of some celeb's hair that I have not heard of

I think it is a good idea to always bring a picture to the hairstyler...that way they see exactly what you want and then they will be able to tell you if your hair can pull it off...You might like a very sleek thin looking style but your hair might be too thick and maybe too frizzy too...


Oh, and you should have high expectations on your hairstylist, they should always make you happy :-)
Don't worry about that... it's more of a guide and they get that! I don't know if they like it or not, could depend on the stylist... if they're all about the ego, they might be annoyed that you don't trust them or whatever but you don't need to worry about that. It's your hair and it's their job!
Look, if your hairstylist is mad that you know what you want then get a new hairstylist. Its your hair not theirs and you are going to have to live with it just remember that, but if I was a hairstylist I would be happy that someone brought in a pic instead of being mad about the style I gave them.
Bringing in a picture off what your trying to get is not bad and unless you have a real A hole cutting your hair it should make it easier to explain and show what it is your after. They shouldn't mind in the least. Assuming your not trying to get some crazy anime haircut.
No they dont. They would rather create it themselves, than imitate a pic you bring in. Its all about originallity with them. If they style it first and the style takes off, they feel great and consumers come to her first...get it....
the dresses wont think you want to look just like the model.








if you want something a little different than the picture, just show it to her , and tell her what you want changed.
they appreciate the pictures, so instead of just going off your words and hoping to god you guys have the same image in your head they have something to work off.
it makes it easier for them to understand what you want and that is what i do
i think at lease it helps the hair cutter because they do want to cut it ';your way'; for you.
