My fiance has severe psoriasis. It is especially bad on his scalp. Of course, he is extremely self-conscious about his skin and is easily embarrassed when people point out his ';spots.'; To make things worse, he recently wanted to get his hair cut so that he could find a better job. After a day and a half of calling every salon in town, I found only three who would cut his hair...and of those three, one agreed very grudgingly. I guess my question is this: would you have a problem with cutting the hair of a person with psoriasis?A question specifically for professional hair stylists?
I would have NO problem. At my salon, you must purchase a shampoo first before we cut your hair. So its not like it will be ';dirty';. Also, I have a best friends with BAD psoriasis and I always cut her hair and have been doing so since we were 15. So I'm used to it. Lastly, discrimination of any kind is cruel and wrong!
