My hair stylist used a razor and thinning shears on my hair about a month ago. I've had to deal with short hairs sticking up on the top of my head and it's hard to cover. I like her but I don't know that I should go back. I think she just cut too close to the top of my hair. Should I go back and tell her what she did and ask her not to do it again or just go to someone new? I pay $40 every time I see her but she gave me a free appt just to give me a trim. I'm thinking about canceling. Any ideas? My hair stylist made a mistake on my hair? Should I go back?
Absolutely go back for the free appt and give her the opportunity to make it right - she can blend the rest of your cut with the really short hairs as they continue to grow out - just cancelling and going to someone who doesn't know your hair at all could lead to worse haircuts! My hair stylist made a mistake on my hair? Should I go back?
I would try a new one, I mean you did pay for it and she didn't do a good job. and if you didn't like it you should have said it in the moment or a week later cuz then the hair starts to grow again and she would tell you that the problem was the hair growing again.
No! Don't cancel! Go In there and explain what she did that you don't like. let her know that its been hard to deal with since you had it done and it needs to be fixed. make sure you tell her straight out that what she did wasn't what you expect.
Give her another chance %26amp; tell her what you don't like.

Oh ya and I'm not thrilled about looking like Paris Hilton!!
I told her to my bra strap and she apparently wanted us to matching hair and now we do. I can straighten my hair but then it flips out And I haven't tried curls please help,, im really sad! Oh and tomorrow is the fair which is a big thing here and it goes through saturday and I want it to not look ugly because I will see everyone I know from my small school and I just really want it to look cute.
*I asked this in hair and got no good answers so I'm wondering if any one has this hair!? And how they manage it?!*My hair stylist messed up my hair majorly how to style a long bob pictures?
The stylist styled your hair after she cut it, right? Have you washed it???? It'll look completely different when YOU fix it. Use your fingers to make it do what YOU want.
Remember, you can always wear a cool hat! Like a straw hat; perfect for the summer!
Good luck, hon. :)
PS. You can always go back and have someone fix it somewhat. :) :)My hair stylist messed up my hair majorly how to style a long bob pictures?
The links to the pictures don't work. You can always pull it back with clips, I'm guessing.
just go with a pull back style for now; you cant go wrong with that.
none of them work :/

Hair stylists or girls who bleach their hair?
I'm gonna get my hair bleached (at a salon). I have reddish brown, thick hair, a little passed my shoulders. I want it a golden blonde color ( not yellow). How do they achieve this? Will all they have to do is bleach it? Or will they have to apply a blonde dye over it? Or a toner? How much will this cost at a salon that charges about 30 dollars for a cut?Hair stylists or girls who bleach their hair?
I naturally have dark brown hair and currently platinum boknd hair. First of all when you bleach your hair you damage it quite a bit. My hair breaks very easy and I have to be very careful with it. My hair girl started giving me highlights before I went all the way blond. When she bleached it she had to use bleach, then a toner afterwards. That will take away the yellow color. I pay 90 for mine, so I am not sure what your salon will charge. It also took me a few times to get to the shade that I wanted.Hair stylists or girls who bleach their hair?
Does your ';Reddish Brown ,, Thick hair have any color on it currently??? If so what color is on it????? If it doesn't have color on it, then go in there with at least $125.00 to about $150.00,,,,,and if they use a good quality color of ';Golden Blonde';.... and a 20 Vol H2O2. mixture...and small parting, without an ash base.... (ash is green%26lt;%26gt;%26lt; and with your red, if they add ash you won't see much of a change) Red is the dominant color.....but if they use ';Golden Blonde';.... and bring it up 2 levels, you'll see a nice hint of golden highlites,,,,mixed in with your red hair,,,,and it'll be very natural, without a huge change,,,just a suttle hint of color is always a good way to go when doing introductory color. (H2O2= Hydrogen Peroxide).
When doing simple changes or suttle changes always ask to look at their style books, on color. Ask if they use the ';So Color'; Line.... Or another creme color line equally good, or if they use liquid colors....... The only difference is in the prep time, and in the fadeing off time, and time spent in the chair.
And to an up-scale salon, time is money,,,,so they'll probably use a liquid color...... but my opinion is in using a creme color and a creme developer, yeah it takes more time to apply and mix up, but you actually get a better color and one that is more true color ..... Bleeching is not always needed,,,,,unless there is a lot of color on the hair before they start, and if you just want bleeched hair... again tho, red hair will take time, ,, as its a very dominent color. Again, ask lots and lots of questions, ask if they do computer analysis, which by the way is a great service.....it helps to determine what color would not only look good on us, but what cut would look good as well, then ask to look at their color books.......and look around your salon.... Do they have a lot of product on their shelves??? Look for things like ';Moisture Shampoo's'; or ';Silk Drops';, Or Shampoo's and Conditioners for ';Color Treated Hair';.......Ask your stylist what would work best for your thick hair...... I know ';Paul Mitchell'; makes a good shampoo and conditioner, for color treated hair....and there are others.... Redken has some too. Don't be afraid to ask questions..... its your hair after all,,,,,and remember there are not dumb questions.... k? AND Good Luck....
WOW !! $30.00 for a haircut eh?? ANd to think I'm still doing them for 10.00..... :( :( I still cut hair once in a while.....
get a nice big bob
I would check with the salons in your area before you actually make the appointment. Go in and ask them what they would do and how much they charge for it. You can comparison shop and decide afterwards where you want to go.
Usually, to lighten hair as dark as yours, stylists will give you a weave- highlighting sections evenly thorough-out your hair with one or more colors alternately with your natural hair color. This will give you a more natural all-over blonde shade, with less noticeable roots and grow out. Expect to pay around $100 for this, and don't forget the tip!lipstick

Becoming a successful Hair stylist ? ( Hair stylist only please)?
I'm 17 and I'd would love to take up cosmetology. I wanted to know what's the best school I heard paul mitchell, Aveda, vidal sasson were good but i don't know which one is the best. I'd also like to know how much they make does it really just depend on talent, location, high or low end salons. I want to take some college credits on bussiness management so I can own my own salon. Is there a diference in pay for hair stylist and the owner of the salon.Becoming a successful Hair stylist ? ( Hair stylist only please)?
I would most def go to a Paul Mitchell school. I graduated from one in Arkansas and I LOVEEEEEEEEEEED it. They instructors are amazing and the tools and knowledge you will get are amazing.
You don't have to go to college to open up your salon unless you just want to. Paul mitchell taught me a lot about salon management and fundamentals.
I would start off as a hairstylist for a couple of years and get some experience and get in the salon first before you decide to open your own up. I've had friends open their own salon up right after school and end up shutting it down because they can't handle it. You will make more money if you work in a salon first !

Will a hair stylist attach and style clip-in hair extensions into my hair?
I had just assumed they would but now I am starting to wonder if they will do it. I do not have a regular place I go to get my hair done so I it is going to take me a while to find places to call and find out. I want to get my hair done like this http://www.projectwedding.com/photo/brow鈥?/a> for my wedding but my hair is only barely past my shoulders and thinned out at the ends due to damage. It seems like clip in hair extensions would be able to do the job. I do not want to get full scale hair extensions because I just don't want to deal with the upkeep of them and I can't see spending $1,000-$2,000 on my hair. Will a hair stylist attach and style clip-in hair extensions into my hair?
if you're going to get them put in for your wedding, im sure they will do it! =]
you just need to call and let them know whats up.
good luck and congrats!
